Your Input About Prophets
I'm teaching a lesson this Sunday about Prophets, and I was hoping to have some of your input. In our church we are very accustomed to the idea of prophets, especially living prophets. I would like to ask you your idea of what a living prophet would be like. Would they look a certain way? Would they speak a certain way? How would you distinguish them from other men? I want to explore this from the point of view of someone who isn't accustomed to the idea of living prophets. I hope to use these ideas in teaching my lesson on Sunday. Thanks in advance for your input!

I will send you something, but need to get some work done first.
It is hard to track down all the verses. A few of the things I note:
They usually come to you, not you going to them.
They tend to illustrate their words with actions, sometimes extreme actions. It is a very uncomfortable job.
They usually leave a group of people very angry to the point that prophets often come to a violent end. This has a lot to do with the manner of presentation.
Thanks Looney! This will be very helpful for my lesson!
